Accounts, rights and groups

Every person who signs in has an account. What the account can do depends on its rights and groups.

  • Rights: one right per administration screen (articles, menus, modules…). No right is granted by default.
  • Sensitive rights: reserved for super administrators (modules, updates, site packages…).
  • Display groups: they reserve content for groups (for example “Members”).
  1. Accounts and rights lists accounts; “Create an account” adds one.
  2. Two modes: an activation email (the person chooses a password) or a temporary password to change at first sign-in.
  3. Tick the rights to grant, save.

When visitors may create their own account, it stays “to review” until an administrator validates it (Account opening setting).
